Klong Chao Beach or Hat Khlong Chao is a beautiful beach with a central location. It’s the most popular beach on Koh Kood yet it’s never too crowded. Koh Kood has no crowded beaches and this one offers almost 800 meters of white and fine powdery sand also during high tide. It’s free of rocks and the water is crystal clear. No shops & no pushy souvenir vendors.
Klongchao Beach is also known as The Millionaires Row which makes sense as this beach is home to four luxurious resorts.
Peter Pan Resort & High Season Resort have a lovely beach bar with good cocktails but of course people can also enjoy a drink or meal at one of the neighboring resorts (Wendy The Pool Resort & TinkerBell Privacy Resort).
Kayaks and snorkeling gear can be rented at the resorts.
Haad Klong Chao is quite special as it’s more of a peninsula with the Thai Gulf in front and Klong Chao river behind it where View Point Café and Sunset Bar are located, both surrounded by beautiful mangrove forest. Looking sideways (to the North) is Away Resort on the cape and on the Southern headland is Goodview Resort where snorkeling is great.
The beach is a five minute walk from Klong Chao village which is a central area on Koh Kood with quite a few (budget) accommodations, (riverside) restaurants and some small shops & bars.
The easiest way to get there is to follow the main concrete road to the South, the beach entry is next to Tinkerbell Resort in a curve where motorbikes can be parked as well.
