Huang Num Keaw Waterfall is better known as The Secret Waterfall or The Hidden Waterfall. Since 2012 a graveled road crosses beautiful ancient jungle to pristine Nam Tok Huang Num Kaew. This is the same road that leads to The Old Trees.
From the rest area is a rather narrow, steep and rocky forest trail of about 100 meters to the waterfall. Certainly not recommended for everyone!
The waterfall consists of several stages and streams with enormous rocks below in a valley. The pictures below were taken by us in the month February when the water level is almost at its lowest.
To get there follow the signs that say ‘Makayuk-Saiyai’ (The Old Makka Trees) and keep following the main trail. If you’re lucky you’ll spot wild monkeys!
The best time to visit is from August till January.
No shops around and no phone signal so it’s best to bring at least drinking water as the location is quite deep into the forest.
