Captain Hook Resort occupies one of the most idyllic locations on Koh Kood. In the North West of the island and accessible by boat only, this hotel is built on a cape next to a pristine white sand beach with a small river in between where crystal clear water finds its way to the sea.
This authentic Thai style resort is remote and a favorite weekend destination for Thai package tourists. Therefore a wide range of activities is offered such as firefly watching, snorkel trips, wake-boarding, a visit to Klong Chao Waterfall and (night) fishing trips.
On the furthest corner of the headland is the restaurant which is quite famous for its fresh seafood dishes and barbecues. Next to the restaurant on wooden terraces is a relaxation area comprising a swimming pool with sea view, sun beds, open-air massage decks and several lounge areas in front of The Pirate cocktail bar with great seaview.
The romantic Deluxe Villas with private balconies are located alongside the canal. Uphill on the other side of the cape are the Mini Pool Villas and Pool Suites. They are more luxurious and offer amazing ocean views, perfect to watch the sunset.
Klong Yai Ki Beach is absolutely amazing with its powdery fine white sand and clear blue sea in front providing the perfect place for complete relaxation as it’s usually empty. The beach is a very short paddle away from the restaurant where kayaks are available.
Following the river upstream and passing Bann Makok along the way, leads to beautiful Klong Yai Kee Waterfall. From the point where you can’t go any further and leave the kayak it’s only a short hike to the waterfall making this a lovely day trip.
Captain Hook Resort is for those who value remoteness on a stunning location. The staff is friendly and known as helpful but they speak little English which for those who appreciate it only enhances the Robinson Crusoe feeling that people certainly experience there.
